What is the information used for?

WCG uses session cookies and persistent cookies on this website. Session cookies only last for the duration of your visit and are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies last beyond your website session and will last either until their expiry date or when you manually remove them. The table below details the cookies currently employed on this website, which are all related to our use of Google Analytics.

Cookie Name

__utmb

Description

The _utmb cookie and the_utmc listed below work in conjunction with each other to calculate how long a visit takes. __utmb takes a timestamp at the point a visitor enters a site, while __utmc takes a timestamp of the exact moment a visitor leaves a site. __utmb expires at the end of the session. __utmc expires 30 minutes later. This delayed expiry is due to the cookies not being able to recognise when a visitor closes their browser or, alternatively, leaves a website to browse elsewhere. The cookie waits for 30 minutes for any further sign of activity and, if there isn't any, it expires.
